Welcome to imagi Edu ("imagi Edu," "we," "us," or "our"). imagi Edu is a learning platform that combines creativity, self-expression, and collaboration with learning to code. Educators and teachers around the world have used imagi Edu to inspire thousands of new coders. THIS APP IS FOR SCHOOL AND ORGANIZATIONAL USE: do not download unless you have an account created by your teacher. If you are not sure about your access, talk to your teacher or IT administrator.
imagi Edu is a tool for teachers and students that can be fully utilized without any personal information from children or students. It is fully compliant with FERPA, COPPA, and GDPR. The purposes for which imagi Edu collects your information, the categories and specific types of information, and our practices and policies regarding the processing of your information are described in this Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy describes how imagi Education, Inc. ("imagi Education"), the operator of the imagi Edu platform (the "Service" or "Platform"), collects, uses, and discloses your personal information when you use the Service. imagi Education, Inc. is the data controller in relation to the processing of your personal data in accordance with this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy applies to all users, including Teachers, Educators, Administrators, Students, and others who access the Service ("Users").

Our learning Platform collects data from Teachers, Educators, Administrators, and/or Students when accounts are created on imagi Edu.
2. What Data and How Do We Collect Your Data?
imagi Edu allows users to register for an Educator/Teacher account. Once Educators/Teachers have registered on the Platform, they should create and register Student Accounts for their students. The amount and type of data collected varies depending on the account. Below is an overview of what data we collect and how we collect it, based on account type.
Teachers/Educators/Administrators Accounts
Account Information

Personal information collected: When accounts are created on imagi Edu, we collect your full name, email address, password, country, and school name.

Purpose of collection: To provide you access to and use of our Service by verifying your identity and storing your Classroom(s), Students' login credentials, and projects created by you and your students. To identify your account and provide customer support if you encounter any problems. To notify you of activity or updates in your account and of new features released on imagi Edu.

Classrooms

Personal information collected: imagi Edu also collects classroom information and the content added to your private classrooms. imagi Edu collects the student credentials when teachers create student accounts, including student project data and draft projects. Please note: Teachers/Educators/Administrators are responsible for creating student accounts before usage in classrooms. If teachers/educators/administrators fail to meet this requirement and students proceed with creating educator accounts, the same type of personal information collected by educator accounts will be collected from students. If you are the teacher/educator/administrator and believe your student(s) has provided us with personal information, please contact us to request deletion at support@imagilabs.com.

Please note: Marketing efforts are only applicable to teachers/educators/administrators with teacher accounts. Students will not be exposed to any marketing.
You can always ask for your data to be deleted at any time, and you may opt out of marketing communications from us by emailing us at support@imagilabs.com. It is not possible to opt out of non-marketing communications relating to the provisioning of our Services.
4. Do We Allow Advertising or Share Data for Third-Party Advertising?
No. We have no interest in advertising within imagi Edu. We never display ads, allow third-party ads, share data for advertising or marketing purposes, or allow data collection by third-party advertisers or data brokers.
5. Who Do We Share Your Data With?
We do not sell or share any data you provide with third parties for their own purposes. We do, however, share your data in the following circumstances:

FERPA Compliance: We may disclose student Account Information to the child's school district upon request, as required by FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act).

Business Transfers: We may disclose or transfer your Account Information, Classrooms, and Projects in connection with the sale, merger, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or reorganization of our company. We will notify you if a different company will receive your information. The promises in this Privacy Policy will apply to your data as transferred to the new entity.
For certain educational activities, teachers may create anonymized student logins that allow students to access approved third-party educational platforms through the imagi Edu environment. These logins do not contain personal student data and are designed to ensure that students' identities remain anonymous. imagi Edu does not share any personal information with these third-party services. All data processing in connection with such activities complies with applicable privacy laws and our Data Processing Agreement.
To improve imagi Edu, we collect and analyze aggregate data about how the Platform is being used (for example, which features are accessed, page visits, duration, etc.) to inform product decisions.
If we allow a third party to have access to your personal data, they will only be permitted access for purposes that are consistent with this Privacy Policy and will be required to protect your personal data in accordance with all applicable data protection laws.
6. How Do We Use Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that we transfer to your web browser that allow us to identify your web browser and store information about your account. We use these cookies to keep you logged in to imagi Edu and customize your experience. We do not use cookies for analytics or advertising purposes.

Your information collected through the Service is primarily stored and processed in the United States, where imagi Education, Inc. maintains its facilities. Your information may also be processed in other countries where our service providers maintain facilities.

8. How Do We Handle Abandoned Accounts?
imagi Edu will delete an account and all content associated with the account if the account has not been accessed for more than 7 years.
9. How to View, Correct, Edit, Port, or Update Your Personal Information
You have the right to access, correct, download for transport to a similar service, or delete any of your personal information collected by imagi Edu. You can request that the information associated with your imagi Edu account be updated by emailing us at support@imagilabs.com.
10. How to Delete Your Account
If you would like to delete your imagi Edu account, you can do so directly by logging into your imagi Edu account and going to My Account > Manage Account > Delete Account, or by emailing us at support@imagilabs.com.
11. How Do We Keep Your Data Safe?
imagi Edu takes protecting your security and privacy seriously and we have put several measures in place to protect the integrity of your information, including the use of access-controlled data centers, restricted employee access to user information, and data encryption in transit.
In the event of a security breach, we will notify affected account holders within the time required by applicable law so that you can take steps to keep your data safe.

imagi Edu may from time to time make changes to this Privacy Policy to account for changes to our practices or applicable law. If we make changes to this Privacy Policy that we believe will materially affect your rights, we will notify you by email about these changes and post a notice to our Service and update the version history at the bottom of this document.
